WATERLOO — Dorothy L. Huffman, 90, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Lakeview Landing of Friendship Village.

She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Waterloo, daughter of Herbert and Anna Olson Draper. She married Kenneth L. Huffman on March 16, 1943, at Walnut Street Baptist Church. He died Sept. 20, 2009.

Mrs. Huffman graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1941. She was employed with an independent contractor, delivering mail from the Waterloo Post Office to the airport, and then with J.C. Penney in the drapery department for 17 years, retiring in 1985.

Survived by two sons, Ron (Peggy) of Marshalltown and Bob (Linda) of Phoenix; a daughter, Nancy Huffman of Waterloo; an adopted daughter, Deb (Mike) Overmann of Cedar Falls; and a granddaughter, Amanda Huffman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Lakeview Landing.
