CEDAR FALLS — Violet Ruth “Dolly” Natvig, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center of Western Home Communities from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born May 8, 1930, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Charles and Esther Waldorf Olmstead. She married Alert “Al” Natvig on Sept. 10, 1950, in Nashua. He died Aug. 4, 1988.

Mrs. Natvig owned and operated the Blackhawk Restaurant with her husband and retired from American Color Imaging.

Survived by three daughters: Beverly (Tom) Mayer of St. Ansgar, Nancy (Tom) Neessen and Janet (Jason) Fort, both of Cedar Falls; a son, Peter (Jude) of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Friday at College Hill Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Alzheimer’s Association.
