WATERLOO, IOWA - Leslie L. Boyer Jr., 64, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born January 1, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Leslie L. and Ruth Marie Daily Boyer. He married Mary E. Barber on May 8, 1970, in Waterloo. She died August 14, 2008.

Mr. Boyer worked in construction and was employed by Jones Brothers Asphalt for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Allen (Wendy) Boyer of Waterloo and Billy (Patti) Shields of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two daughters, Betty Cam of Webster City and Wanda Eastman of Burlington, Vermont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mark (Bev) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Shields; a daughter, Peggy Shields; a great-grandson; a brother, Ivan; and a sister, Geraldine Vaughn.

Services will be on Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, where visitation begins at noon, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
