WATERLOO - Richard G. Schuler, 80, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Allen Hospital emergency room.

He was born May 13, 1931, in West Union, son of Theodore and Louise Necker Schuler. He married Jean Bendinger, and they were later divorced. He then married Camilla Cook on June 4, 1995, in Waterloo.

Mr. Schuler worked as a crane operator for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years before retiring.

Survived by his wife; a stepson, Bryan Leadley of Grundy Center; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Leadley of Iowa Falls and Hazel Voshell of Waterloo; two brothers, Charles (Nancy) of Elk Run Heights and Jim of California; and five stepgrandchildren.

There will be no services. Visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 207 Cecelia Ave., Waterloo. Garden View Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
