WATERLOO - Karl Raymond Wickerath, 69, of Waterloo, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born March 28, 1943, in Illinois, son of Rudolph and Margie Murphy Wickerath. He married Linda Sundin on Dec. 21, 1999, in Waterloo.

Mr. Wickerath served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed at John Deere for 26 years.

Survived by his wife; four sons, Jim (Melissa) Wickerath of Nevada, Christopher Edward (Maureen) Payton, Daniel Allen Dudden and Matthew David Dudden, all of Waterloo; a daughter, Mary Wickerath of Nevada; and 17 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Arends.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
