MRS. HARRIETTA SMITH.

Mrs. Harrietta Smith, 76, of 321 H 7th St., passed away a 10:30 p. m. Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, Death was attributed to a heart attack.

She was born Harrietta F. Alexander, July 18, 1877, at Macon, Illinois, to A. N. and Artie Alexander.

She was married to William J. Smith at Waterloo, Mar. 24, 1898, and made her home in Waterloo and Hudson most of her life.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church and the Dorcas Rebekah Lodge of Hudson.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. George Stevens of Hudson; Mrs. Ralph R. Witt, 224 Kern Street; three brothers: C. G. Alexander, of 231 Leland Avenue; Ralph of Pennsylvania, and Mark of Canada; three sisters: Mrs. O. O. Berry, of 117 Mobile; Mrs. J. B. McNichols, of 101 Bryn Brae, and Mrs. E. L. Eldridge, of Spencer; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two children who died in infancy.

The body is at Locke Funeral Home. Funeral plans are pending.
