FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY
FOR ALFRED "BUD" WILSON

Funeral services for Alfred "Bud" Wilson, 83, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 1999, at the Community Church of Hudson with Rev. Joseph Sellepack officiating. He passed away of natural causes on January 31, 1999 at Manorcare Nursing Center in Waterloo.

Bud was born June 14, 1915, the son of Alfred and Verna Watters Wilson. Both of his parents died when he was a young child, and he was raised in Hudson by his grandparents, where he attended school and worked as a farm hand.

He married Alma Jensen on February 5, 1940, and they lived at the present location on Eldora Road where they raised their family and farmed until 1987 when he retired.

Bud was an Honorary member of the Hudson Future Farmers of America and provided machinery and farm help when his sons were members of the local chapter.

He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Alma. To this union were three children who survive: JoAnn (Harlen) Hunter, Chesterfield, Missouri; Jerry (Della) Wilson, Hudson; and James (Deborah) Wilson, Fishers, Indiana; seven grandchildren; Todd (Christine) Hunger, O'Fallon, Illinois; Juliann (Timothy) Holle, Belleville, Illinois; Jeffrey Wilson, Hudson; Micelle (Richard) Crouch, Euless, Texas; Troy (Jacinda) Wilson, Hudson; Michael (Janet) Wilson, Franklin, Indiana; and Christopher Wilson, St. Louis, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Cole Hunter, O'Fallon, Illinois; James Holle, Belleville, Illinois; Megan and Kamron Wilson, Hudson, Joshua and Tyler Crouch, Euless, Texas; Bradley Wilson, Hudson; and Hanna Wilson, Franklin, Indiana.

Mr. Wilson is also survived by his sister, Blanche Pullin, of Waterloo, and many loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a great grandson, Blake Wilson, and a sister, Beulah Petersen.

A memorial fund has been established, and memorials may be sent to the family.
