WATERLOO — Gary A. Morris, 73, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Waverly Health Center, Waverly, of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Bemidji, Minn., son of Elmer and Selma “Sally” Ramsfield Morris. He married Loretta Scholl on Nov. 11, 1961, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. She died June 6, 2002

Mr. Morris started as a printer at Morris Printing, then became a manager at Control O Fax for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Izaak Walton League of America, University of Iowa “I” Club, and was involved with Junior Achievement for several years.

Survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Dan) Huff of Waverly and Beth (D.J.) Batten of DeBary, Fla.; four grandchildren, Patrick and Daniel Huff, and Jacob and Joshua Batten; three brothers, David of Wadena, Minn., Jess (Karen) of Elk Run Heights and Robert (Pat) of Waterloo; and two sisters, Lila Morris and Nancy Mitchell, both of Jesup.

Preceded by death by a brother, Roger; a sister-in-law, Kathy Morris; and a brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
