LA PORTE CITY — Dennis Matthew Pullin, 51, of La Porte City, died at his home Friday, April 6, of a heart attack.

He was born Feb. 20, 1961, in Waterloo, son of Judy and Robert Pullin Sr. He had worked for 15 years at IBP as a maintenance supervisor.

Survived by a daughter, Melisa Pullin of Waterloo; a son, Eric Henny of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Leighton Pullin of Waterloo; his mother, Judy Mether of La Porte City; his father, Robert Pullin Sr. of Waterloo; two brothers, Bobby of Willard, Mo., and Dale of La Porte City; a sister, Dawn (Todd) Hess of La Porte City; two stepsisters, Janice (Vic) Mahood of Lexington, Ky., and Diane Rice of Hinton; three local nieces, Jasmine (Wayne) Gaston and Baylee Hess, both of La Porte City, and Jade Hess of Dysart; a great-nephew and niece, Wesley and Alyson Gaston of La Porte City; many other nieces and nephews; and a his dog, Katy Rae.

Preceded in death by his dad, Larry Mether; an infant brother, Scott; and his grandparents.

Graveside memorial services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Orange Township Cemetery. La Porte City Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
