Rule Reinbeck Death Suicide

REINBECK - Kenneth Gene Harms, 34, was found dead yesterday afternoon at the George Schieldroth farm home northeast of Reinbeck where he had been employed, and the death was ruled a suicide.

Grundy County sheriff deputy said Harms had apparently taken about 50 pills. The county medical examiner reported he died of choking and was drunk at the time of his death. The type of pills he had taken prior to death is being determined, sheriff officers said.

Arrangements are pending at French Funeral Home in Reinbeck.

Survivors are two children, Kenneth, 6, and Cindy, 3, of 1616 Shady Lane, Waterloo; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harms of 2028 Mulberry St., Waterloo; three brothers, Delvin of Reinbeck, Ed of Hudson, and Harley of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and five sisters, Mrs. Donovan Nash, Mrs. Robert Lorenz, Mrs. Lee Albertson and Mrs. Wayne Hagenslein, all of Waterloo, and Mrs. Jack Adams of Phoenix, Arizona.
