Howard V. Jones III was born May 24, 1965, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Howard V. and Ellen M. (Aakvik) Jones II. He died Monday evening, April 12, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Following graduation from high school, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Howard worked in hotel management with the Four Season Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. He then pursued his Master of Arts Degree from Cornell University in New York. Following graduation, he moved back to Iowa and was with the Red Fox Inn in Waverly, before retiring due to health concerns.

Howard is survived by his father of Cedar Falls; his sister, Catherine J. Morales of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; and two nephews, Sean J. and Kayle M. Huffnagle, both of Ft. Walton Beach.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents; and his mother, Ellen on December 18, 2000.
