Jessie Jabens was born February 9, 1926, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Fred and Guerna M. (Dahlsen) Hansen. She died Saturday December 18, 2004, at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center.

She married Robert E. Green in 1942 and later divorced. She then married Dale E. Cummings in 1964 and he died March 28, 1977. She then married Hans Jabens December 25, 1983 and he died in 1993.

She worked at many vocations in the metro area and was a homemaker. She was a member of both the Cedar Falls Eagles and American Legion and a strong member of the Democratic Party.

Jessie is survived by her daughters, Susan (Paul) Bixby of Waterloo and Shari (Wayne) Hall of Huntsville, AL; son Timothy (Tina) Cummings of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Emma Lou Randall of Phoenix, AZ and Bernice Garcia of Waterloo; and brothers, John Hansen of Fredericksburg, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Edward Green Jr.; daughter, Linda Lou Green; brothers, Bob and Raymond Hansen; and four sisters, Myrtle June Stille, Virginia Cohl, Kathryn Nicol, and Ione Hansen.
