Brandy Lynn Wardlow 29, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at Sartori Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Brandy was born November 26, 1977, in Waverly, the daugter of Thomas and Susan Wardlow. She graduated in 1996 from West High School, in Waterloo, and from University of Northern Iowa in 2001 with a degree in graphic design and was employed as a graphic designer with Professional Office Services of Waterloo. A recent highlight in her life was meeting Lance Armstrong this past July.

She was loved by all who knew her and she reciprocated that love. She was totally committed to her fiancé Chad, and her family was paramount in her life, and her new nephew was a focus of her attention. She enjoyed her work and her wonderful colleagues at Professional Office Services who displayed such strong support.

She is survived by her fiancé, Chad McKinney, Cedar Falls, parents, Susan and Thomas Wardlow, Newton, a sister Amber (Mark) Ridder of Waverly, brother Chris (Holly) Wardlow of Waverly, Grandfather, James Wardlow, of Waterloo, step-grandmother, Donna Shipp, of Waverly, her nephew Cooper, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her two dogs Oliver and Cuddles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gerald Shipp, Linda Shipp, and Ramona Wardlow.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, with the Rev. Nathan Frazee officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the American Brain Tumor Association.
