Louise Muriel Gaynor Moe (1917-2009)

CEDAR FALLS- Louise Muriel Gaynor Moe, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, February 26, at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born March 29, 1917, in Chicago Heights,IL , the daughter of William Owen and Emma Louise (Schenk) Gaynor. She married Karl H. Moe on November 25, 1947 in Waterloo. He died January 19, 1980.

Mrs. Moe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Minnesota and her Masters of Science degree from City College of New York. She taught high school in Bemidji, MN, Wausau, WI, Waterloo and Cedar Falls. She then joined the faculty of Wartburg College for fourteen years, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include three sons, Karl "Skip" O. Moe of Wichita Falls, TX, Richard "Dick" M. (Glenna) Moe of Kansas City, Missouri, and Thomas A. (Mary) Moe of Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren, Tabitha, Jessica, Bethany, Erik, and Heather.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and William
