WATERLOO - Beverly Joyce Heth, 82, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 5, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Traer, daughter of Floyd and Faye La Dow Smith. She married Herbert "Herb" Heth on Dec. 10, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fairbank. He died Nov. 24, 2008.

Mrs. Heth worked at Rath Packing Co. for a few years, then worked at Waterloo Community Schools as a secretary to the principal for 28 years, retiring in 1987. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Washburn.

Survived by three sons, Michael (Julie) of Gilbert, Ariz., Mark (Rosanne) of Waterloo and Murray (Jane) of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie Warren of Dunkerton.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Wilkie and Melba Kascelansky.

Graveside services: 10 a.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Mausoleum. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel, an Overton Family Service.

Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
