WATERLOO óJames A. Bissell, 51, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, March 3.
He was born Feb. 13, 1961, in Manchester, son of Donald L. and Martha M. Hildebrand Bissell. He married Mary Long, and they later divorced.
Mr. Bissell was last employed with Crystal Distribution as an over-the-road truck driver, retiring with a medical disability in 2001.
Survived by a son, James II of Waterloo; a daughter, Joyce (Brad) Herman of Sumner; seven grandchildren; his mother, Martha Barritt of Waterloo; a brother, Tom (Tammy) of Cedar Falls; and five sisters, Trudy Mastin and Cathy Bissell, both of Manchester, Rose (John) Hadley of Delaware, and Sandra Long and Jeannette (Josh Cornwell) Stevens, both of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by his father.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, followed by cremation. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
