Ruby L. Eggers, 84, of Waterloo died Monday morning at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home after a short illness.

She was born October 23, 1923 in Waterloo the daughter of Gus and Grace Teare Anderson. She married Kenneth Lee and they were later divorced. She then married Vernon Eggers on March 24, 1973 in Independence and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1991.

She was owner/operator of the Lil’ Den Bar in downtown Waterloo before its closure.

She is survived by 1 brother; John Anderson of Waterloo, nieces and nephews; Rick and Mary Anderson, Judy Anderson, Debbie Anderson, Kevin Nie, Patty Anderson and Dennis Backes, Cheryl and Don Wagner and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Elizabeth Taylor and Edith Fergeman and 1 brother: Warner “Andy" Anderson, 1 niece; Beckie Nie, and 3 nephews; Terry Anderson, John Anderson, Jr., and Dennis Anderson.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Oct 23, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
