WATERLOO - Judy Ann Beckmann, 63, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center ICU, of natural causes.

She was born March 13, 1948, in Waterloo, daughter of Robert W. and LaVerda J. "Verdie" Weichers Kressig. She married Ron Beckmann on May 20, 1967, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Beckmann worked for the Waterloo School District at West High and Hoover Junior High as a librarian, aide and secretary, retiring in 2007.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Lisa (Vaune) Beckmann of Tiffin; a brother, Robert (Liz) Kressig of Cedar Falls; a sister, Peggy (Jim) Kane of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Dakota (Tony) Dillavou, and Alec and Nate Beckmann; and a grandchild of the heart, Sarah Rundlett.

Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Edward Kressig.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the chapel.

A memorial fund will be established with the Waterloo School System for underprivileged children.

Judy was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to the casino with Ron. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs, but above all she loved Ron, Lisa and her grandkids. She will be dearly missed.
