Lois Darlene (Swancutt) O’Hara – April 13, 1933 – December 6, 1999

ELK RUN HEIGHTS – Lois Darlene O’Hara, 66, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Elk Run Heights, died Monday December 6, at the center of cancer.

She was born April 13, 1933, in Riceville, daughter of Elby and Mary Greeley Swancutt. She married Richard O’Hara on September 4, 1954, in Dubuque.

She is survived by: her husband, three sons, Ronald of Great Falls, Montana; Robert of Elk Run Heights; and Brian of Waterloo; a daughter, Kathleen Beckman of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four brothers; Niles Swancutt of Spencer; Maynard Swancutt of Prescott, Arizona; Neldon Swancutt of Elma; and Charles Swancutt of Tucson, Arizona; and a sister, Shirley Swancutt of Riceville.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Swancutt.

Services: 1 p.m., Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. roday and for an hour before services Saturday at the chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family.
