CEDAR FALLS - Robert B. Woods, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Feb. 4, at ManorCare in Waterloo.

He was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Woodward, son of John A. and Chjoldvor Bruun Woods. He married Marie B. Weltruski on June 4, 1942, in St. Edward, Neb. She died Jan. 16, 2006.

He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1938. Mr. Woods served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for John Deere Tractor Works, farmed in Nebraska, was owner and operator of Rucco Feeds and worked for Jackson Auction Co., retiring in 2007.

Survived by two daughters, Nancy M. (Michael) Cline of Metamora, Ill., and Deborah C. (Danton) Burkett of Evansdale; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, L. D. "Bud" and Frank; and a sister, Eva "Kathy" Weltruski.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
