WATERLOO - Jerald E. "Jerry" Bruns, 59, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Jan. 27, at Scott White Hospital in Temple, Texas, of natural causes.

He was born June 23, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Eugene and Dorlene Schroeder Bruns.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1970 and from Hawkeye Community College in 1972. Mr. Bruns was an aviation mechanic for many years in the Phoenix area and throughout the Southwest.

Survived by a sister, Sharon (Roger) Jordan of Waterloo; and a brother, Scott of Copperas Cove, Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Private family committal Services: will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Denver. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
