WATERLOO - Marian "Toots" Laurine Lehr, 94, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 30, at Martin Center of the Western Home Communities of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 2, 1917, in rural Grundy County, daughter of James C. Sr. and Else Marie Nielsen Jensen. She married Kenneth F. Lehr in 1943 in Lancaster, Mo. He died Feb. 28, 1995.

Mrs. Lehr was employed during World War II with Hinson Manufacturing as a seamstress for 18 years and at Kmart as a clerk, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Concordia Church, and was a member of the LWML.

Survived by: a son, KC (Gail) of Cedar Falls; a stepson, Gary Lehr of Hudson; a granddaughter, Shelby K. Lehr of Cedar Falls; a brother, John D. (Mary) Jensen of Salem, Ill.; a sister, Alice M. Jensen of Riverside, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a close friend, Doris Webber.

Preceded in death by: a grandson, Taylor J. Lehr; a sister, Patricia Harris; and four brothers, Victor, Mike, James Jr. and Wayne Jensen.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Marian loved to bake and sew in her spare time. She lovingly doted over her only granddaughter, Shelby, making her blankets and other gifts.
