CEDAR FALLS - Thelma I. Evers, 86, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Jan. 30, at The Mansion at Waterford, Oklahoma City.

She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in rural Dike, daughter of Fred and Tillie Buss Rewerts. She married Peter Evers on March 12, 1952 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died April 26, 2010.

Mrs. Evers was employed in dietary at Sartori Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1986, and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survived by a son, Dale (Debbie) of Edmond, Okla.; and a grandson.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Melvin, Ernie and Cecil Rewerts; and four sisters, Lena Aukes, Clara Geiken, Fanny Hulsman and Laura Wendt.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
