CEDAR FALLS - Doris Lorene Cuvelier, 101, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

She was born July 11, 1910, in Hanford, daughter of Walter Clifford and Lura Grace Kiester Fransham. She married Samuel Cuvelier at her parents' home near Hansell. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cuvelier graduated from Hansell High School in 1928. She and her husband farmed. She also played the piano and organ for her church, Janesville United Methodist Church, for many years.

Survived by three daughters, Joicelyn Barber of Dumont, Janice (Richard) Pautvein of West Des Moines and Linda (Harlan) Pruin of Clarksville; two sons, Walter (Marie) of Cedar Falls and Jim (Marlys) of Parkersburg; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Cuvelier of Waverly; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Theodore "Ted;" two sisters. Erna Clemens and Frances Moore; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; and a son-in-law, Robert Barber.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Janesville United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
