WATERLOO - Earl W. "Andy" Anderson, 91, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 23, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

He was born June 10, 1920, in Kearney Neb., son of Romelus L. and Levone Abbott Anderson. He married Matrice L. Murphy in 1946 in Waterloo, and they later divorced. He later married Hilde Jungweber on March 7, 1975.

Mr. Anderson was a staff sergeant with the 34th Army Division during World War II with campaigns in North Africa and Italy. He drove a bus for Waterloo Transit and was a founding production team member at Black Hawk Broadcasting Co., later becoming supervisor, retiring in 1982.

Survived by his wife; seven sons; two daughters; three stepsons; three stepdaughters; 35 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his first wife; and a grandson, Jacob.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
