Robert D. Fink, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 10, 1919, in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Grace (Keener) Fink.

Robert married Frances E. Baird on February 23, 1946 in Cedar Falls. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a realtor with Baird & Fink Reality and Appraisal for over 58 years, and was Past President of Cedar Falls and Waterloo board of Realtors. He was named Realtor of the Year in 1991. He was Past Commander of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49, Past President of the Hawkeye Chapter of the American Red Cross board of directors, and Past President of Cedar Falls Lions Club.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas (Ruthena) Fink and their daughters, Angela and Amelia of St. Paul, MN, and David R. (Susan) Fink and their daughters, Mara and Kaia of St. Louis Park, MN; and a brother, William A. (Adeline) Fink of Sarasota, FL.

Preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Alicia L. Fink.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, at First United Methodist Church, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls, with Military Honors by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49.

Public visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Cedar Falls Historical Society, Western Home Communities, or Sartori Memorial Hospital.
