CEDAR FALLS- George W. Morgan, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, January 17, at his home.

He was born May 31, 1919, in Redding, MN, son of George and Gertrude (Currier) Morgan. He married Dorothy Fry Jan. 5, 1946, in Waterloo.

Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed with John Deere as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk until retiring in 1976.

Survivors include: his wife; daughter, Dixie Rhoades of Brigham City, Utah; three grandchildren, Sheri (Belol) Meshel, Justin, and Cynthia Rhoades; three great grandchildren, Nicole, Deven, and Brandon Rhoades; and a half-sister, Ann (Ben) Wheeler of Salem, SC.

Preceded in death by his parents; two half-brothers, Roy L. Morgan and John Morgan; and a half-sister, Hilda Bauman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home.
