CEDAR FALLS- Paul F. Rannells, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 18, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1925, in Dunlap, Iowa, son of Edgar and Della Fox Rannells. He married Lois Shields on Nov. 2, 1946, in Dunlap.

Mr. Rannells learned the plumbing trade at B&G Plumbing, and then worked in sales at Westinghouse for 10 yrs. He later owned and operated Paul's Plumbing for 23 yrs.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott (Chris) Rannells of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Amy Rannells of Waterloo; a brother, Edgar (Genevieve) of Dunlap, IA; two sisters, Dorothy Bridgford of Onawa, IA and Cecil Cifka of Denver, Co.; two grandchildren, Samuel and Luke Rannells of Cedar Falls; a brother-in-law, Patrick (Patricia) Shields; a sister-in-law, Margaret Grady; and nieces and nephews, Paula Cifka, Joan Humphries, Teresa Gersema, Leah Madsen, Sara Ruhlmann, Patrick Shields, Cindy Huseman, Chris Ballantyne, Michael Grady, Peg Ritchie, Mary Berry, Nora Ladewig, Tim Grady, Robert Grady, Nan Kiel, and Sheila Grady.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home, with a 2:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus Rosary and 6:00 p.m. Vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association or American Diabetes Association.
