WATERLOO - Ida Elizabeth Delagardelle, 91, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Jan. 22, at Covenant Medical Center from complications of surgery.

She was born Jan. 10, 1921, in rural Gilbertville, daughter of Joseph G. and Gertrude Schares Weber. She married Anthony "Tim" Delagardelle on Sept. 16, 1943, in Gilbertville. He died Feb. 19, 1992.

Mrs. Delagardelle worked in the surgical department at Covenant Medical Center, retiring in 1991.

Survived by three daughters, Linda (Don) Youngblut of Jesup, Lynette (Rodney) Lindeman of Cedar Rapids and Lucinda "Cindy" Holtzman of Palm Springs, Calif.; five grandchildren, Eugene Youngblut, Jana Johnson, Brenda Youngblut, Joe Holtzman and Kendra Holland; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trina and Joshua Johnson and Lily and Parker Holland; a brother, Anthony "Tony" (Ladean) Weber of Gilbertville; a sister, Leona Weber of Jesup; and two sisters-in-law, Netty "Viola" Weber of Cresco and Rita Weber of Gilbertville.

Preceded in death by a son, Lynn on June 25, 1994; four brothers, Eugene (Rita), Alvin and Irvin Weber, and Cleo Weber in infancy; a granddaughter, Leanne Youngblut; and a brother-in-law, Ray Weber.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
