WATERLOO - Richard D. Allensworth, 72, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 16, at home of natural causes.

He was born April 1, 1939, in Waterloo, son of Addius and Marilyn Potts Allensworth. He married Madeline Lemons May 1, 1977, in Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; two stepsons, Stanley Lewis of Crookston, Minn., and Matthew Burke; three stepdaughters, Madeline (Russell) McCready of Waterloo, Faith Marston of Minnesota and Hope (Richard) Laughery of Crookston, Minn.; four brothers, Jim (Sandra) Borseth and Bill (Vickie) Borseth, all of Waterloo, Eddy (Juanita) Borseth of Austin, Texas, and Tony Borseth; a sister, Joanne Kittsmiller of Panama City, Fla.; and six stepgrandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Jim; and a stepgrandson.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Waterloo, with inurnment in Waterloo Cemetery at a later date. Public visitation will be held for an hour before services Monday at the church. The body will not be present; he was cremated.
