Ethel M. Abrams, 80, of Nashua died October 30, 2006, at her home.

Ethel was born May 10, 1926 in Steward, Nebraska, the daughter of Oscar and Martha Buehrer Kamprath. She and her family moved to Williamsburg, Iowa where she graduated from high school. She then moved to Waterloo, Iowa, graduating from Allen Hospital School of Nursing as a member of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps.

In 1946 she married Richard Abrams, and to this union four children were born: Pamela, Terry, Mark and Janise.

Ethel worked as a Registered Nurse and House Supervisor at Schoitz Hospital for 35 years, before retiring in 1986. She loved being with her family, playing cards, gardening, fishing, cooking, bird-watching and reading.

Survived by and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Pamela (Michael) Tiller of Waucoma, Janise (Dirk) Firman of Nashua and a son Mark (Darlene) Abrams of North Liberty. Seven grandchildren, Sarah, Rikki, Trisha, John, Tehrene and Karlissa; four great-grandchildren Raelinn, Zachary, Gage and Ella; Three brothers Victor Kamprath, Elmer Kamprath and Don Kamprath; one sister Loretta Rusch and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Martha Kamprath; a son Terry Lee Abrams; one brother Milton Lee Kamprath and a sister Norma Roehrkasse.
