R. Bruce Estabrook, 62, of Waterloo, IA, died Monday, July 17, 2006, in the emergency room at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo of a coronary.

He was born November 2, 1943, in Portland, Oregon, the son of Ronald and Nellie (Booker) Estabrook.

He married Bonnie Taylor March 17, 1962 and were later divorced. He then married Judy Custer October 14, 1995 in Cedar Falls, IA. He was a stock broker in the Waterloo metro area for over 30 years, most recently with Wachovia Securities in Waterloo. He was past President of the Waterloo Noon Lions Club, served on the board of the Friends of KUNI Radio; past President of Waterloo Main Street, serving on various committees, and a member of the Waterloo Elks Club.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Judy of Waterloo; daughters, Erica (Joe) Zito of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Kim Estabrook of Des Moines, IA; step daughter, Kristi (Todd) Appenzeller of Austin, TX; step sons, Kevin (Jen) Custer and Kreg Custer, all of Cedar Falls, IA; seven grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher Zito, Sam Appenzeller, Cheyanne Custer, and Kelly, Tommy, and Charlie Custer; and sister, Patricia (John) Fecht of Carthage, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Arjay Bruce Estabrook; and sister, Marjorie Love.
