Wendell Brase died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the Western Home Martin Center in Cedar Falls. He was born January 20, 1943, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Erwin and Helen Caroline (Buhr) Brase. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1961 and then served in the Iowa National Guard to 1967.

Wendell was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Haverkamp October 20, 1962. They were later divorced. He was employed by John Deere Waterloo Tractor works for thirty years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Waterloo Eagles Club and loved socializing with his friends.

Wendell is survived by a son, Neil (Deb) Brase of Westgate, Iowa; three daughters, Dawn (Tom) Fox of Fullton, Missouri, Darcie (John) Jessen and Dina (Kip) Grimson all of Waterloo, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his mother, Helen Brase of Tripoli, Iowa; a sister, Shari Smith of Cordova, Tennessee; and his special friend Lorna Barnes also of Waterloo.

Preceding Wendell in death were; his father, son, Tracy, and brother, Daryl Brase.
