HUDSON - Ruth E. Middlekauff, 87, of Sunrise Health Center, Traer, formerly of Hudson, died Tuesday, May 27, at the center of advanced Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Grundy County, daughter of George and Ethel Porter Cowie. She married Loren Middlekauff on May 23, 1959, at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and was a bookkeeper for Viking Pump.

Survived by her husband; and a son, David of Hudson.

Preceded in death by two brothers in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Hudson, with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
