HUDSON — Paul G. Briddle, 57, of 118 Celeste SL, died Thursday, May 24, in an automobile fire on Fletcher and University Avenues.

He was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Dubuque, son of James and Mary Hess Briddle. He married Carol A. Hansen on August 24,1957, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Briddle was employed by the John Deere Component Works for 27 years. He served as a Marine in the Korean War and was a life member of the Hudson AMVETS Andersen Post No. 82.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Scott and James, both of Hudson, David of Ankeny and Daniel of LaVergne, Term.; a daughter, Gail Briddle of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles of Oran; and a sister,Bertha Robb of La Porte City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
