GILBERTVILLE - Ronald Joseph Frost, 75, of Gilbertville, formerly of Raymond, died Thursday, Dec. 22, at La Porte City Nursing & Rehab Center after a long illness.

He was born April 14, 1936, in Black Hawk County, son of Jacob Frost and Elizabeth Wirtz Frost. He married Wilma Marie Schmidt Sept. 17, 1960, in Raymond.

Mr. Frost owned and operated Frost TV Sales and Repair in Raymond for many years before retirement. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Raymond.

Survived by his wife; five daughters, Lori of North Liberty, Kimberly (Dean) Fischels of Elk Run Heights, Deborah (Matt) Schultz of Waterloo, Julie (Brian) Wilson of Hutchinson, Kan., who died Friday, Dec. 23, and Michelle Stroh of Gilbertville; a son, Gregory J. of Dysart; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Paul J. (Luette) of Eugene, Ore.; and a sister, Bernice Tomkins of Raymond.

Preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen; two brothers, Edmund J. and James M.; and a sister, Lucille A.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Raymond. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials will be directed to charities by the family
