WATERLOO - Lee A. Suiter, 61, of Waterloo, formerly of Phoenix and Denver, Colo., died Friday, Dec. 23, at Allen Hospital of liver cancer.

He was born March 15, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Richard and Virginia Morris Suiter. He married Pam Kaune June 24, 1978, in Waterloo. She died June 14, 1992.

He graduated from Orange High School in 1968, and attended UNI. Mr. Suiter was a salesman for Ford, Napa, Globe Machinery and Motorcraft. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Staff Sgt Michael A.) Karlowicz of Fort Bragg, N.C.; a granddaughter, Riley Reagan Karlowicz; his mother of Waterloo; a brother, Mark (Teri) of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Orange Township Cemetery, with military rites by Evansdale AMVET Post 31, Waterloo AMVET Post 19 and the Iowa National Guard. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with a 6 p.m. service of remembrance.
