WATERLOO - Dorothy Louise Radmacher, 82, of Waterloo, formerly of Sacramento, Calif., died at her home Saturday, Dec. 17, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Aug. 8, 1929, in Susanville, Calif., daughter of Hugh and Margaret Drayer Martin. She married Alvin Radmacher on July 1, 1967, in Sacramento.

Mrs. Radmacher graduated from Placerville California High School and received an associate's degree in early childhood development from Sacramento City College. She was instrumental in establishing several preschools in the Sacramento area and in developing their curriculum.

Survived by her husband; three sons, Tom (Debra) Newman of Orlando, Fla., and Michael (Debbie) Newman and Richard (Jamie) Radmacher, both of Sacramento; two daughters, Cynthia (Johnny) Garcia of Waterloo and Toni Newman of Coquille, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Robin) Martin of Eureka, Calif.; and two sisters, Mary Lou (Jack) Armstrong of Sacramento and Margaret Ann Fleck of Reno, Nev.

Preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Martin; and a sister, Betty Miller.

Services: 7 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, preceded by an hour of visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dorothy enjoyed crafting, sewing, traveling and riding on her son-in-law's Harley.
