DEATH OF MATH MAYER OF STACYVILLE OCCURS IN WATERLOO HOSPITAL

Stacyville, June 5 – Math Mayer, 29, died at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo, yesterday, following an operation for appendicitis. He had lived in Stacyville all his life.

He married Marguerite Morse in May 1922. Besides his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mayer, Stacyville, one son and five brothers; Albert, Arthur and Paul, Stacyville; William, Minneapolis; and Joseph, Osage, survive him.

Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Mathias Mayer was born September 22, 1899 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of Peter Mayer and Mary (Heimer) Mayer. He married Marguerite Ella Morse, the daughter of James Morse and Florence (Smith) Morse

They had a son who also preceded him in death; Clyden Mayer 1923-1923. The son surviving him was Verelyn Mathias Mayer who was born March 15, 1929. He died December 30, 1987

After Mathias death, Marguerite married Henry Frein.
