WATERLOO - Argall Lee Jackson, 80, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Waterloo, son of Van and Marvel Flatz Jackson. He married Shirley Jean Albee on Jan. 7, 1956, in Waterloo.

Mr. Jackson was employed with Quality Dairy for 10 years and Orkin Exterminating for 10 years. He later was a health inspector for the city of Waterloo. In 1975 he became a health inspector for Black Hawk County, retiring in 1994. He has owned and operated Ryan Exterminating since 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.

Survived by his wife; a son, Michael Lee of Waterloo; two daughters, Cindy Lou (Ed) Krezek of Waterloo and Nancy Jean (Scott) Scholz of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Norma) of Independence and Dennis (Wilma) of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Diane (Ralph) Roberts of Omaha, Neb.

Preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stanford.

Visitation: from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with inurnment later in Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no services.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Argall loved to spend time with his family and friends. He especially loved spending time on the Mississippi River and instilled his love of fishing and the outdoors in his devoted family. He will always be loved and greatly missed.
