CEDAR FALLS - Zella Marie Piper, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Dec. 9, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Salam, Ark., daughter of Charlie Franklin and Mary Jane Reeves Young. She married Robert Piper on April 12, 1950, in Reno, Nev.

Mrs. Piper worked at Berg and Berg Drug Store, Tally-Ho Dressing and was a homemaker.

Survived by her husband; and a sister, Shirley Redmon of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by a brother, Charles H. Young; and three sisters, Olive Young, Veda Pines and Freda Fassie.

Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Prairie Lakes Church, with inurnment at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
