WATERLOO - Sam N. Schiefelbein, 61, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 9, at his home.

He was born May 3, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Mervil and Jeanette K. Rasmussen Schiefelbein, and raised by stepmother Josephine Schiefelbein. He married Barbara Fleming and they later divorced.

Mr. Schiefelbein was a machine operator for John Deere.

Survived by daughter, Tina Schiefelbein of Waterloo; a sister, Dee (Greg) Morse of Sacramento, Calif.; and a half brother, Scott (Tracy) Schiefelbein of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother.

Services 11 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Military honors provided by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
