WATERLOO - Vicky Ellison Eaton, 85, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 13, at NewAldaya Lifescapes following a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Ribera, Sicily, daughter of Peter and Santa Galletta. She married John Henry Ellison in 1944. He died in 1964. She later married Max D. Eaton on July 7, 1984, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 10, 1994.

Mrs. Eaton graduated in Brooklyn, N.Y., and attended Gates Business College. She was employed at Black's Department Store in sportswear and various offices, and retired from the dietary office at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

Survived by two daughters, Claudette (Buck) Henry of Waterloo and Christine (Mike) Jackson of Cedar Falls; a son, Robert J. Ellison of New Mexico; four grandchildren, Dawn (Roger) Selesky of Ankeny, Eric Henry of Waterloo, and Matt (Jamie) Jackson and Melissa (Mike) Bird, both of Des Moines; five great-grandchildren, Alex and Paige Selesky, Cortlynn and Carlie Jackson, and Rory Bird; two stepsons, Max and Mark Eaton; and a stepdaughter, Marcia Krause.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a stepson, James Ellison.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Cedar Valley Hospice.
