WATERLOO - Helen D. Stolfus, 72, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Oct. 23.

She was born March 16, 1939, in New Hampton, daughter of Alfred and Mildred Thompson Johnson. She married Lyle C. Stolfus in March 1959. They later divorced.

She graduated from New Hampton High School.

Survived by five daughters, Susan (Daniel) Feller of Waterloo, Denise (Scott) Truax of La Porte City, Deborah (LeRoy) Wilkes of Waterloo, Lila (Kevin) Ward of Albert Lea, Minn., and Marnie (Chad) Holtzman of Cedar Falls; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lowell (Bunny) Johnson of Rowland Heights, Calif.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Hatting and Darlys Cutsforth; and a brother, Walter Johnson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Saude Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lawler. Public visitation will be held for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
