WATERLOO - Dean Edward Emme, 58, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Oct. 22, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born June 13, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Robert Edward Emme and Lydia Gjovig Emme.

He graduated from Jesup High School in 1971 and attended Hawkeye Technical College for electronics. Mr. Emme worked with electronics at Viking Pump, Southwestern Bell and IBM before working with his family at Waterloo Motor Winding.

Survived by his parents of Jesup; a brother, Dennis of Jesup; four sisters, Dian Hovey of Sandy, Utah, Susan of Jesup, Kim (Tim) Vosnos of West Chicago, Ill., and Lisa of Elmhurst, Ill.; a nephew; a niece; and three aunts.

Preceded in death by a nephew.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Crest Cemetery, both in Jesup. Public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at funeral home.

Memorial fund has been established.
