WATERLOO - Lester L. Wildebour, 81, of Marion, formerly of Waterloo and Independence, died Friday, Oct. 21, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion after a long illness.

He was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Allison, son of Harm B. and Maggie J. Evers Wildebour. He married E. Jean Becker April 29, 1950, in Hudson.

Mr. Wildebour was a machinist at John Deere & Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1983.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Jerry (Mary) of Waterloo, Ron (Sheri) of Canton, Ill., and Greg (Coreen) of Marion; a brother, Harley of Shell Rock; four sisters, Genevieve Weber of New Jersey, Shirley (Carl) Patmore of Waterloo, Betty Schwantes of Cedar Falls and Esther (Russ) Boss of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie and Johnny; and two sisters, Evelyn and Gertrude Huffman.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today, and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
