WATERLOO - Isaiah LaBeaux Jr., 66, of Waterloo, formerly of New Orleans, died Sept. 8, at his home.

He was born June 25, 1945, son of Rosalie Cunningham and Isaiah LaBeaux Sr. He married Dorothy Banks in Waterloo.

He attended Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans. Mr. LaBeaux served in the U.S. Army from 1964-67, specializing in National Defense, 1st Infantry, 197th Infantry badge. He was employed by John Deere and Carl Schuler Co. of Iowa, and was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church of Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Isaiah III, Carlos (Lynnae) and Gerome (Javon), all of Waterloo; a daughter, Connie Williams of Atlanta; four stepsons, Terry McGee, Ernest McGee and Earl McGee, all of Brookhaven, Miss., and Tony McGee of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Brenda Banks and Barbara Banks, both of Waterloo; a sister, Patricia of New Orleans; a brother, Larry of Woodlands, Texas; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; an aunt; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Jason Scott; five brothers, Herbert Clay, Louis Clay and Harry Clay, Charles Broomfield and Lawrence Broomfield; and two sisters, Rosalie White and Willie Mae James.

Services were Sept. 17, at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, both in New Orleans. Boyd Family Funeral Home, New Orleans, was in charge of arrangements. Local memorial services 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Union Baptist Church, Waterloo.
