LA PORTE CITY - Marshall Keith Kline Jr., 84, of Austin, Texas, formerly of La Porte City, died Dec. 15, 2010, in Austin.

He was born March 25, 1926, in La Porte City, son of Marshall "Keith" Sr. and Berniece Richardson Kline.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1944, and attended University of Wisconsin for three years. Mr. Kline served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a CEO for an appliance distributor in San Antonio for many years.

Survived by a son, Marshall Keith III (Annette) of Langley, British Columbia; two daughters, Kelsey (Ronald) Kline Chally of Austin and Lori (John) Kline-Pearson of Flower Mound, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy; and a brother, Bruce.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in West View Cemetery, La Porte City. La Porte City Funeral Service assisted the family.
