WATERLOO - Annie Hopkins, 85, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 19, at Winsor Care Center in Cedar Falls of natural causes.

She was born June 28, 1926, in Batesville, Miss., daughter of George Donner and Ella Roberta Anderson. She married Walter Burke and they later divorced. She married Sam Hopkins Sr., and they later divorced.

She was a foster care provider.

Survived by four daughters, Ann "Sissy" Burke of Waterloo, Shirley Starr of Portland, Ore., Jeanette (John) Cockrell of Accokeer, Md., and Penny of Arlington, Texas; four sons, Bob Burke of Waterloo, Charles (Susan) of Wheaton, Ill., Sammy of Waterloo and Stan of Lawton, Okla.; a sister, Dorothy Battle of Chicago; 30 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, T.J. Anderson; and two sisters, Shirley Jones and Dorsey Crawford.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Corinthian Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 610 E. Fourth St., Apt. 34, Waterloo.
