WATERLOO - Eileen Catherine Frost, 86, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Sept. 18, from complications of a stroke.

She was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Ashton, daughter of William and Margaret Krogman Niichel. She married Vincent Frost on May 2, 1944, in Jesup. He died April 21, 1988.

Mrs. Frost attended a country school in Pipestone, Minn., and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School, Ashton.

Survived by four sons, Kenneth (Pat) of Hudson, Thomas (Mary Lou) of Gilbertville and James (Diane) and Wayne (Barb), both of Waterloo; two daughters, Kathleen (Don) Miller of Kirkland, Wash., and Gina (Jim) Allison of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren, Frank, Brad, Doug, Eric and Aaron Frost, Georgia McMahon, Tina Hogan, Brenda Grigg, Nicole Miller and Mackenzie Allison; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delma Schares of Jesup and Regina Niichel of Rosewood, Minn.; two brothers, Gene (Joan) Niichel of Lake Havasu , Ariz., and Bill (Mary Ann) Niichel of West Pueblo, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Lori Niichel of Arizona.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph; a daughter-in-law, Terry Frost; two sisters, Alice (Bill) Federspiel and Lois Corkery; a brother, Earl Niichel; a brother-in-law, Herb Schares; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn McMahon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eagle Center, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 5 p.m. rosary, and for an hour before services Wednesday, all at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Don Bosco High School or Cedar Valley Hospice.
